Empower Underpriviledged Children of Lokhandwala Space of Change through Education

Nikita grew up with a family of six in a cramped and crowded chawl in Anand Nagar, Mumbai. In her home, space was scarce and privacy to study was a luxury she could not afford. But Nikita's resilience shone through thanks to the program. She scored 85% in her final grade 12 exams and is pursuing her B.Com. and preparing for the CA Foundation exams. Nikita dreams of becoming a chartered accountant.

We, at danamojo, are doing a team fundraiser to help 35 children like Nikita realize their dreams but we can’t do this without your support.

The cost for supporting one child is INR 5,700.

Spark-a-Change Foundation (SAC) is a Mumbai-based non-profit organization that has positively impacted over 3,000 children through its school and after-school programs. SAC's Foundational Learning Program (FLP) focuses on building English and Math skills for students in grades 1 to 7. SAC also provides holistic development through programs in social-emotional learning, sports, art, and critical thinking.

The FLP currently impacts 500 children across two centres in Western Mumbai, with the help of 150+ volunteers. 

Through FLP, Spark-a-change provides:

•    Robust Curriculum: SAC offers a well-structured curriculum with modules tailored to different age groups and skill levels.
•    Comprehensive Training for Volunteers: Volunteers receive thorough training to deliver the program effectively.
•    Holistic Learning Experiences: It covers developmental programs which supports social-emotional well-being, art, sports, applied theatre, and critical thinking for children.
•    Free Resources: Underprivileged students receive all necessary stationery, study materials, and workbooks at no cost.
